Welcome
The theme of “babytastes“ is to go back to basics by using raw, fresh and unprocessed ingredients in easy-to-follow recipes.
Babies need to develop their tastes by eating natural, flavoursome foods. Even adding small amounts of salt, sugar or artificial flavourings to their food may lead to fussy eating and a preference for processed, saltier and sweeter foods in childhood and adulthood. We know unhealthy diets can lead to heart disease, diabetes and obesity.
This website offers information on:
- babies and toddler nutrition
- healthy recipes for the whole family
- menu planners
- information sharing
- reviews on children’s restaurant menus

Jan and Anthea are child health nurses with a keen interest in childhood nutrition. They believe good childhood nutrition is the foundation for a healthy life. The inspiration for Babytastes was developed by the increase in numbers of Fussy Eaters seen in babies and toddlers.
